Call for Participants: Teaching and Learning Innovation Fellows

For full-time faculty, we draw your attention to the call for participants which is going out across the campuses merging to become the VSU:

The Teaching and Learning Innovation Transformation Team is excited to announce that we will soon be recruiting participants for a pilot program engaging early-adopter and innovative faculty in exploring the best ways to deliver courses combining in-person with remote access from Zoom or another campus (what the future VSU is calling F2F+). We are recruiting faculty from all future Vermont State University campuses, representing a wide range of discipline and experience, to participate in intensive Summer 2022 professional development and teach a new or redesigned course in Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.

This pilot program serves three purposes:

1.       It will allow us to work with talented and experienced faculty members to build a model for what a well-executed F2F+ course looks like.

2.       It will allow us to build a cohort of faculty members who can act as mentors for the next generation of instructors in this modality.

3.       It will allow us to gain a better understanding of the technical and instructional resources that will be needed to roll out Vermont State University’s new program array in 2023.

Faculty who participate in this Teaching & Learning Innovation Fellow programs will be compensated with stipends for summer work and at least one three-credit course release during the academic year. More information about the application process will be coming soon. In the meantime, if you have questions or would like to express preliminary interest, please contact either Dr. Jae Basiliere at jae.basiliere@northernvermont.edu or Dr. Chris Boettcher at christopher.boettcher@castleton.edu
