Yellow roses in garden

A Note of Gratitude

As the AY21-22 draws to a close, I think it’s important to take a moment and acknowledge the incredible work you have all done.

You’ve made it through another year of the pandemic, as COVID variations came and went, and navigated the changing guidelines for keeping you, your families, our students, and our community safe.

Thank you for respecting the requests that were made as we tried to maintain the health of everyone on campus.

While the transformation still looms large, we have made several, incremental steps towards the merger of us with our sister schools. A name, a new president, and a lot of team presentations on the discovery and design phases of their charges…. Many of you represent our institution on one of these teams. Many of you have shared feedback and offered input to guide these projects.

Thank you for persevering in this hard, but important, work.

Above all else, you kept coming to work and doing what you do best: helping our students. Whether you’re on the front lines of interacting with the students or you are behind the scenes ensuring the processes keep running smoothly, you played an important role in making our campus a welcoming space.

Thank you for continuing to demonstrate why we’re the small university with the big heart.

We literally couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

Thank you.
