Castleton’s Recommendations on Advising

This is the final report of Casteton’s Advising Committee “task force” on advising from spring 2021.

This group, drawing faculty and staff from across the university, formed in 2019 through the support of the Pathway to Graduation project. It conducted its work throughout the pandemic, consulting research and investigating practices at comparable institutions.

In spring of 2021, its recommendations for a new advising model that would be “holistic”, “developmental” and “agile” through a team-based approach were endorsed by the Castleton Faculty Assembly.
