We want to be sure that everyone in our community can get access to library resources, whether they’re on campus or off. Sometimes, though, users run into errors. Here are a couple of steps to try if you’re unable to log into a database or request an interlibrary loan (ILL).
- Clear your browser history. Castleton IT has a blog post explaining how to do this (and why it may sometimes be necessary).
- Try a different browser. If you’re in Safari, for example, try doing the same thing in Firefox or Chrome.
- Contact the library at 802-468-1256 or firstname.lastname@example.org or IT at 802-468-1221 or email@example.com.
Even if you do solve the problem yourself, we appreciate you letting us know about it. Because library staff work on campus, we don’t always see the errors that come up off campus. Your experience can help us offer improved service to everyone.
