The Spartan Arena is a multi-use facility located in Rutland, VT owned by VTSU and home to the Castleton Men’s and Women’s ice hockey teams, fitness center with turf in the spring.
We are looking for the following work study positions to fill for the upcoming year.
Operators
Students will learn to drive the ice making machine, sharpen skates, general cleaning and help with other day-to-day operations.
Fitness Center
Check members which consist of students and the general public into the fitness center. Monitoring of the fitness center along with some general cleaning
Concessions
Work the counter during public skating, high school and VTSU hockey events.
Skate Guards
Monitor the rink during public skating times.
We are very flexible with your schedule. If you want to do more than one position that is fine.
Once you are assigned, we will work together to figure out the best schedule and work assignments for your ability and your availability. Whether it is for a few hours per week or more we look forward to you working at Spartan Arena!
**You must have your own transportation and be dependable.**
