So one of the big changes with the implementation of the Connections general education program is that Soundings is no longer a stand alone course. Instead, students are expected to attend 4 Soundings events as part of their Connections Seminars’ requirements. Seminar assignments will look to help students connect the events they attend with the rest of their educational experiences.

And if that’s not motivation enough: your students like seeing you at these events! It reinforces that these are valued experiences (I mean, you’re selective about how you spend your free time; so if you’ve made time to check it out it must be important!). Additionally, it gives your students another way to relate to you and engage in conversation with you.
