On this page, you’ll find some instructional videos on how to interact with some of the equipment on campus. Currently, it’s focused on the classroom that were upgraded in January 2021. We do have plans to add touch panels to these classrooms, along with the fancy bells and whistles – hdmi with audio capability, etc. However, there are some challenges related to obtaining products due to COVID.
Step 1: Assess the classroom and locate all of the remotes!
This video reviews three remotes. You will learn about the white projector remote, the black camera remote, and the optional document camera remote.
Step 2: Look for the Black Recording boxes
This video explains the purpose of the black boxes on the podium. The one gang boxes only record, while the two gang boxes have an hdmi (no audio) input.
Step 3: Assess the podium equipment
This video explains what is inside the podium. The most important pieces are the SMP (for switching between computer and hdmi input using the 1 and 2) and the Fosi audio box.
Step 4: Turn on the projector!
This video explains how to turn the projector on and off. It reminds you that the Sony projectors only require 1 button press to turn off. Also, a reminder about using the blank image!
