In case you didn’t know, Castleton University’s Innovation Lab is dedicated to providing the campus community with access to state-of-the-art 3D technology. The lab is equipped with six 3D printers (traditional FDM and resin printers), a Glowforge laser cutter, virtual reality headsets, 3D scanners, and high-end computers for digital design. Students, staff, and faculty have been using the lab to make virtual reality models, to print all kinds of 3D objects, to create 3D models of local artifacts, and many other things.
The Innovation Lab is located in Leavenworth 201 and is available to all members of the campus community.
The lab is staffed by student interns and has the following hours this semester:
Monday: 4:00 – 9:00 PM
Tuesday: 12:00 – 7:30 PM
Wednesday: 4:00 – 8:00 PM
Thursday: 4:00 – 8:00 PM
Friday: 11:00 – 2:00 PM, 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Please stop by during any of these hours. We’d be happy to show you around and introduce you to the technology. We will also be scheduling workshops using the various technologies in the near future!
