Senior Exhibitions!!

The Christine Price Gallery happily presents "The Senior Art Exhibition" being held from Monday, March 25th - Wednesday, May 22nd! There will be an Artist Reception held Friday, March 29th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. This exhibit will be a culmination of these students' entire university experience. Please show your support by checking out their work and visiting their reception! The show will include amazing works from Seniors Pamela O'Connor, Leon Bates and Chrystal Bean. From Home Brew to House of Fermentology Lecture

Thursday, March 28th  Jeffords Auditorium | 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm *Presented in partnership with the Vermont Humanities Council Speaker’s Bureau* Bill Mares began making his own beer 45 years ago, when homebrewing was illegal and there were no microbreweries in America. Today, there are over 7,000 such breweries nationwide, and Vermont has the highest percentage of breweries per capita in the country. Mares has written three editions of Making Beer and fathered Vermont’s brewpub-enabling law in the 1980s. In this presentation, Mares will offer a short history of beer itself, and discuss the American beer revolution, Vermont’s small but significant contribution, and his co-ownership of a brewery. Wind Symphony presents “Outer Realms”!

Wednesday, April 3rd Casella Theater  | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm The VTSU Castleton Wind Symphony presents “Outer Realms," a program featuring works inspired by space, other worlds, and the imagination. The concert will feature special guest soloist and faculty member Professor Jared Shapiro performing as cello soloist for Luis Serrano Alarcon’s “Tramonto." The concert will also feature works by David Maslanka and Julie Giroux and Joe Hisaishi’s score for “Spirited Away”. Free for all students, faculty, staff, and alumni! Adult tickets $10, Senior tickets $5.

Would you like to unite and educate the community while still having fun? Check out Spectrum Pride! Meetings every Thursday at 12:30 PM in Audet Classroom! Spectrum Pride's purpose is to create a safe community and environment for LGBTQ+ individuals as well as to raise awareness and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. This is achieved through both events that Spectrum Pride plans and through creating a fun environment during our meetings. On behalf of the entire Student Government Association, you are invited to submit your nominations for the 2024 Student Government Association Awards.  The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and you are asked to please try to nominate someone for each award.
