It’s Hispanic Heritage Month and the library invites you to join us in celebrating and recognizing the legacy, contributions and experience of Hispanics in the U.S. Of course we have lots of relevant materials to share. We will be highlighting a sampling in a book display in the library. Click to see a sampling of books on Hispanic heritage in the library. Baseball might be on your mind right now too. TRIO Program Assistants plan and promote our events and programs, mentor first-year students, and assist full-time staff with special projects. This is an ideal way to gain experience in project management, marketing, and counseling and see if any of these fields might be right for you. TRIO Program Assistants work ten hours per week at $13.80 per hour and develop their own flexible schedule. Federal Work-Study funds are not needed for this position. Quick Link: http://vermontfoodhelp.com Many college students in Vermont are eligible for 3SquaresVT and don’t even know it. 3SquaresVT is a program that can help you buy groceries with a swipe card at your favorite grocery or convenience store, co-op, or farmers market. Which college students are eligible?  Your total income is at or below the income limit. For a household of one, the monthly limit is $1,969. You may still be eligible for a household of one even if you have roommates. AND You are eligible for federal or state-funding work study programs during the regular school year - you don’t have to be using work study to qualify, just be eligible.
