FREE FAFSA HELP! Workshop October 20th

The 2021-2022 academic year is just underway, but it’s already time to start planning for next year! The best way to do that is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). That’s why the Academic Support Center is offering a free FAFSA workshop on Wednesday, October 20th from 5-7pm. During that time, drop by Babcock Hall for help submitting your FAFSA. Bring your laptop or phone and your documents, and be sure to have your FSA ID, password, and Save Key ready. Plan to spend about 30 minutes submitting your FAFSA. Can’t make the workshop on the 20th? The Academic Support Center is always here to answer your questions about the FAFSA and other aspects of college life. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, please call 802-468-1347, email asc@castleton.e...

Email Grade Alerts

What do I do if my course average is below 70%? The first round of Current Grade Alerts arrived in your inbox last week.   Students with a Canvas gradebook average below 70% received an email from the Castleton Support Team encouraging them to use campus resources to improve their learning. Sometimes students are surprised by their course average or don't understand how it was calculated. If you receive one of these messages and it doesn't quite add up, contact your professor with your question or to discuss how to be more successful in class. Grade alerts are designed to help students take action to succeed as soon as possible. It's much harder to raise your grade later in the semester, so act now. To request a tutor, complete the  Tutor Request Form. To meet with an aca...
