Road toward a snow capped mountain

(Online) Instruction Self-Assessment

Just like the Spring 2020 semester, we’re ending the Fall 2020 semester having learned even more about what it takes to create an online course conducive to community building and educating students. So before you drive ahead into planning your Spring 2021 semester, why not take some time to look back at that mountain of work you just completed in order to make your next semester even better?

The team created this reflection/survey to help you to identify areas of improvement that will have a direct impact on students. The questions are aligned with the general areas of Canvas design and planning that we are highlighting in this issue. You can choose to just read through it, but if you provide answers—it is completely anonymous—then the team can use what we learn as we plan and create resources.

Here is a link to the survey.

And back to that point about remarkable things: If you do something in your course that you could possibly share, please get in touch with the CUCanvas team. We can help you to share what you do, and, depending on the extent and substance of the work you do to share or create resources, we can provide a small stipend in gratitude.
