Every semester, we continue to learn more about how our students are using (or reacting to our use of) Canvas. Last semester a survey was posted for students to weigh in on their experiences and at least one session at the upcoming “Fresh Start with Canvas” VSC retreat will address their responses. But I find myself wondering, have you seen….
the snazzy VSC Canvas Student Survey Infographic that was attached to the Chancellor’s email invitation?
While it’s a small snapshot of a much bigger picture, I’d point out that one small thing you (as an instructor) can do to have a very positive impact on your students’ experience is to use due dates on your assignments, especially if you’re already posting assignments on Canvas in order to make use of the gradebook.
Have questions about how to take that next step? Spot an article, video, or other source of inspiration you think your colleagues should check out?
Let us know and it could appear in the next volume of The Educator!
