Tomásio: Abstractions of a Metaphorical World: Artist Reception

Saturday, February 4th from 5:30pm - 7:29pm meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments while viewing the newest gallery show! 12 - 6 pm | Castleton Bank Gallery, 104 Merchants Row, Rutland Thomas Hacker, aka Tomásio, creates robust energetic acrylic paintings that explode off the canvas in every imaginable hue. These multilayered works ask the viewer to look into themselves to find the organization and abstract forms shifting in the pigment. Tomásio’s creative work ranges from music, poetry, sculpture and fashion. Hello Castleton Spartans! Happy Spring semester! The Student Government Association is excited to continue serving the student body and make Castleton University a great place! We are hard at work on a variety of projects this semester that include upgrades to the Dance Studio in the FAC, upgrades to Huden Dining Hall and Fireside, promoting sustainability projects across campus, upgrades to technology in popular student locations, and continuing to support a wide variety of clubs. The Campus Activities Board will continue to program three times a week, hosting exciting events such as BINGO's, Comedians,  Musicians, Magicians, Trips, and more!  In addition to these projects, we would like to launch our virtual forms that can be found linked below. 23-24 Returning Student Scholarship Application Now Open!

The 2023-2024 Returning Student Scholarship application is now available! The application deadline is March 10, 2023. All applications require Essay#1 to be completed and attached before you will be able to submit.  If you are unable to finish your application in one session, be sure to check the “Save my progress and resume later” box at the bottom of the page before exiting.  You will receive an email notification with a link to your saved application. Please use this link when you are ready to finish your application. When you have completed be sure to click on “submit” in order for the application to be processed. Add/Drop Guidelines!

Students may make changes to their schedules in the following ways: Students will need the instructor’s permission to be registered for any classes that are closed.  Students will also need the instructor’s permission to add courses for which they do not have the prerequisite.  Please complete this form and email it with the instructor’s email permission to registrar@castleton.edu. Students may add and drop “Y” (second half of the semester) courses through March 20th . Students may continue to drop full semester courses through March 31st.  Courses dropped between February 1st and April 1st will appear with a grade of “W” on the transcript, and no refund will be issued. Quantitative Reasoning and Information Literacy Schedule: Spring 2023

The Quantitative Reasoning and Information Literacy assessment schedule has been set for the spring. If you don’t know if you need to complete these, please see your Advisor. If you are a new student, or one that started in fall 2021, spring 2022, or fall 2022 you can disregard this message. You can sign up for these on the Portal. Log into the Portal, click on Registration, then Search for Sections. Search for Quantitative Reasoning, and then click on CU Spring 2023 in the term section on the left. Click View Available sections. Find the one you want, and add it to your schedule. Do the same for Information Literacy. Make sure you “check-out” to get fully registered.
