Opportunity Matters Book Club!

Dear Castleton Students, The Academic Support Center, the Castleton University NAACP, and the Council for Opportunity in Education are proud to invite students, staff, and faculty to join in reading together Finding Me: A Memoir by Viola Davis.  Before Viola Davis was an Academy-Award winning actor, she was a first-generation college student. And before she made it to college, she was a young Black girl who experienced bullying and food insecurity.  By any standard, Ms. Davis’ story is remarkable. This spring, we invite Castleton students, faculty, and staff to join the Opportunity Matters Book Club. The club will meet on campus to discuss this fascinating book. In addition, we’ll join the national discussion on Zoom and connect with experts who will prov...
