Summer Financial Aid Application Available for Summer Courses

Summer Aid Application: https://castleton.s3.amazonaws.com/files/resources/2021-summer-application.pdf Students enrolled in any Vermont State College System courses over the summer are encouraged to submit a summer financial aid application. You do need to have a completed FAFSA on file to be eligible for federal aid, including summer aid. Summer aid can consist of federal pell grants and/or federal loans depending on your eligibility.  Completed forms can be emailed to student.aid@castleton.edu or dropped of at Woodruff Hall in Financial and Registration Services.  Email student.aid@castleton.edu if you have any questions.

Attention Seniors Graduating in May: Mandatory Loan Exit Counseling!

Mandatory Loan Exit Counseling for Students Graduating in May. Students who are graduating in May that have borrowed Federal Direct Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized loans) are required to complete online loan exit counseling.  This is done at https://studentaid.gov (sign in using your FAFSA username/password) and under the Manage Loans tab you will see “Complete Exit Counseling”.  This is an information session that helps you review what you have borrowed to date and what will happen when you begin to repay your loans.  If you have questions about this process you can email student.aid@castleton.edu.

Solving Library Access Issues

We want to be sure that everyone in our community can get access to library resources, whether they’re on campus or off. Sometimes, though, users run into errors. Here are a couple of steps to try if you’re unable to log into a database or request an interlibrary loan (ILL). Clear your browser history. Castleton IT has a blog post explaining how to do this (and why it may sometimes be necessary).Try a different browser. If you’re in Safari, for example, try doing the same thing in Firefox or Chrome.Contact the library at 802-468-1256 or library@castleton.edu or IT at 802-468-1221 or ithelp@castleton.edu. This is just a friendly reminder that the applications to apply for next year's (2021-2022) Student Government Association are out! If there's something at Castleton that you want to change and try to make a difference, then SGA is the best way to do that. All you need to do to apply is log into your ErezLife account and select the SGA elections tab and fill out the form! The application will be due on April 1st, 2021, so if you want to apply to do not wait!!! Housing Contracts Now Open and How to Create a Roommate Group

Roommates have the option to use the lower of the two priority numbers for room selection. Both roommates must be eligible to participate in room selection. To move to an open space in a building you may pull in a roommate.  You will use the lower priority number to select the room.  The person being pulled in does not have to login and pick the room, it is automatically done by the roommate group.
