Innovation Lab Hours!

In case you didn't know, Castleton University's Innovation Lab is dedicated to providing the campus community with access to state-of-the-art 3D technology.  The lab is equipped with six 3D printers (traditional FDM and resin printers), a Glowforge laser cutter, virtual reality headsets, 3D scanners, and high-end computers for digital design.  Students, staff, and faculty have been using the lab to make virtual reality models, print all kinds of 3D objects, create 3D models of local artifacts, and many other things.   The Innovation Lab is located in Leavenworth 201 and is available to all members of the campus community. The lab is staffed by student interns and has the following hours this semester: Monday: 1:00 - 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tu...

Frogs and Toad Improv Club!!

Hello VTSU Castleton Students!  Are you interested in creating comedy through improv? Are you interested in improving your unscripted acting skills? Do you want to just make friends and have a great time being different characters? Then join our improv comedy club on Sundays from 2pm to 5pm at the Old Chapel! We have performances throughout the semester, but if you just want to play games, then join us at 2:30pm after our business meeting.  We have also been working on sketch comedy, so feel free to bring your own scripted ideas that we can turn into videos for our Instagram @frogsandtoadscomedy.  If you are interested, please join us even if you have never done improv before. Greetings from your NAACP family! NAACP logo The NAACP meets Tuesdays at 6:15pm in the Campus Center Formal Lounge! As a club, we run under the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. This organization works to achieve equality, political rights, and social inclusion. Our club has decided to focus on education and outreach within our campus community and beyond as well as policy reform through the VTSU transition. We spend time celebrating culture and marginalized communities. We host a few events each semester and have weekly meetings. Multicultural Club Meetings!

Interested in the The Multicultural Club? Meetings are every Tuesday from 5-6pm in the Campus Center Formal Lounge! All are welcome! We welcome all students, regardless of gender, race, background, etc! The purpose of the Multicultural Club is to foster an inclusive community and promote the diverse cultures and backgrounds at Vermont State University. Thus, it is not exclusively for the international student population, and everyone’s presence is welcomed and highly appreciated. Bowling Club!!

The Bowling Club meets Fridays at the Rutland Bowlerama from 4 pm-6 pm. The address for the bowling alley is 158 S Main St, Rutland, VT 05701. Shoes and bowling will be free for those who participate! Inexperienced? Not a problem--lessons will be available! Also, a former bowler who made States in high school will be available to give tips to those who want to improve their skills. Anyone is welcome to come and have fun! They create original graphic and video content for real-life people in the community. It's an awesome and fun opportunity to showcase your skills in the real world!
